We find the Council was at fault for a delay in completing the review. This caused significant distress to Mr X. To address this injustice caused by fault the Council has agreed to make a symbolic payment.

    Summary: Miss X complains about how the Council dealt with her homelessness application. These faults caused harm and distress to Miss X which the Council has agreed to remedy by apologising and making a symbolic payment of £2000 to her.

The Council has agreed to apologise, to make payments to recognise Y’s educational loss and Miss X’s distress and to carry out some service improvements.
