Every year the LGO deals with over 18,000 complaints about local councils. Some of these complaints are made either directly by children and young people, or on their behalf by a parent, carer, or advocate.
We have special investigators who are experienced in dealing with complaints from children and young people. They will ensure that you are provided with the help and support you need to make your complaint and take your views into account throughout their investigation. To make a complaint you can fill in a complaint form on-line. It may help if you look at the making a complaint section of this website first. Or you can phone one of our advisers on 0300 061 0614 who can answer any questions you have and take down your complaint over the phone, if you wish. (Calls to 03 numbers will cost no more than calls to national geographic numbers (starting 01 or 02) from both mobiles and landlines, and will be included as part of any inclusive call minutes or discount schemes in the same way as geographic calls.
